The approach to interacting with the Russian leadership has already been defined in the public signals of the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

The war of Russia against Ukraine can only be ended through systematic and maximally tough pressure on Moscow, both in economic and military spheres.
This was stated by advisor to the head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, Mykhailo Podolyak, on the national telethon.
According to him, an effective strategy for ending the war involves not symbolic restrictions, but the real isolation of the Russian Federation from global markets and an increase in military pressure.
“The war can only be ended through systematic, maximally tough pressure on the Russian Federation in economic and military terms,” Podolyak emphasized.
He noted that the sanctions policy should not repeat the approaches used after 2014, when Russia still had opportunities to circumvent restrictions or count on their quick cancellation.
“This is not like 2014: let’s impose some sanctions here, but leave the possibility to quickly cancel these sanctions, or leave the possibility to circumvent these sanctions, or leave the possibility to have parallel exports, imports, etc. That’s not how it works,” stressed the advisor to the head of the OP.
Podolyak believes that the international community faces a choice: either fully isolate Russia from the world economy, or continue to watch how the war is financed and continues despite significant human losses.
“Either Russia is isolated from global markets, or we will continue to play the game of ‘it’s unclear who is financing the war,’ why it is ongoing, why millions of losses do not affect Russian society,” he stated.
Podolyak separately emphasized that the approach to interacting with the Russian leadership has already been defined in the public signals of the President of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, particularly in his open letter.
“We must talk to Putin only through the prism of coercion or through fear, which will be his basic emotion,” concluded the advisor to the head of the OP.
We remind you that a few days ago, the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy wrote an open letter for the first time to the head of the Kremlin, Vladimir Putin, with a proposal to end the war through negotiations. It was published on the website of the Office of the President.
In his address to Putin, Zelenskyy stated that Russia is suffering significant losses, while Ukraine continues to resist and receives international support.
