Polish Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski suggested that US President Donald Trump might change his view of Volodymyr Zelensky due to Ukraine’s successes in drone production and deployment.
Sikorski shared this perspective during his podcast.
According to the Polish diplomat, Trump “likes winners,” implying that Ukraine’s advancements in the drone sector could bolster his support for Kyiv. Sikorski noted that the effectiveness of Ukrainian drones has become a factor attracting the attention of international partners.
“I wouldn’t be surprised if Zelensky soon becomes his favorite thanks to Ukrainian drones,” stated the head of the Polish Foreign Ministry.
Previously, Trump had spoken positively about Ukrainian drone technologies and the potential for collaboration with Ukraine in this area. Kyiv and Washington have also discussed joint projects related to drone manufacturing and defense technologies.
As a reminder, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky is scheduled to meet with US President Donald Trump at the White House on Tuesday, July 28. The Ukrainian leader will arrive in Washington to attend the funeral of Senator Lindsey Graham and will also hold talks with Trump. A White House representative announced the upcoming meeting, confirming Zelensky’s visit to the US.
