Ukraine will continue to escalate attacks on Russia’s rear, as it “does not intend to die in silence.”
This was stated by President Volodymyr Zelenskyy in an interview with Sky News.
He commented on the recent series of successful attacks on Saint Petersburg, which coincided with the main Russian economic forum held there, as well as other long-range strikes hundreds of kilometers from the Ukrainian border.
According to Zelenskyy, these are not isolated incidents but the result of systematic work by the domestic defense industry.
“Ukraine has learned, studied, and finally developed a large number of diverse missiles and drones,” the head of state emphasized.
Commenting on the “deep strikes,” he said: “We will not just die in silence. We will respond. We will become stronger and stronger every day. Vladimir Putin only listens to what Kyiv and its allies say when he is under total pressure.”
In the president’s opinion, the attacks have shown that Ukrainian drones will be directed at Russian cities and large metropolitan areas, not just isolated targets in the middle of nowhere.
“We will return their war to their territory,” he added.
Earlier, President Zelenskyy identified the quickest path to peace.
He also confirmed that Russian oligarch Roman Abramovich had secretly visited Kyiv on a behind-the-scenes mission from the Kremlin.
