The Armed Forces of Ukraine reported what is actually happening in Kostiantynivka.

The city of Kostiantynivka in the Donetsk region is under the control of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, despite regular attempts by Russian troops to seize the settlement.
This was stated by fighters of the United Assault Brigade of the National Police of Ukraine “Lyut'” in a video address to Russians.
“F*** YOU, NOT KOTSIAKHAA! Today, the Kremlin dictator and his generals decided to sell another ‘great victory’ to Russians about the full capture of Kostiantynivka. This is a lie!” the fighters stated.
They also added that units of the brigade, together with other forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, continue to carry out combat missions directly in the city and eliminate enemy personnel. According to the military, the assault actions of the Russians are accompanied by constant pressure.
“Yes, the enemy is trying with all their might to capture Kostiantynivka. Yes, the battles are tough, and the enemy throws their infantry in small groups and tries to hold every meter. But Kostiantynivka is not under their control!” the “Lyut'” brigade noted.
Ukrainian defenders also emphasized that the statements of the Russian military leadership about successes in this direction do not correspond to the actual situation on the battlefield. The fighters stressed that the Russian army suffers regular losses in personnel.
“While they are drawing up victory reports in Moscow, our warriors are destroying their infantry. While Putin is preparing to award fake ‘victory’ medals, Russian soldiers continue to die in battles for a city they could not capture,” the servicemen added in their address.

Earlier, Volodymyr Putin claimed that the Russian army had allegedly captured Kostiantynivka in the Donetsk region. However, the Armed Forces of Ukraine denied this, calling it another lie. The city remains under Ukraine’s control, although battles are ongoing in certain areas.
Volodymyr Zelenskyy also reacted to Putin’s statement. He ironically noted that if the city is indeed under Russia’s control, then Putin can easily come there for a meeting for peace negotiations. Zelenskyy emphasized that the real situation is completely different from the words of the Russian dictator.
