A fire broke out on a vessel sailing near Katranci Bay in Turkey during a day-long tourist excursion.

A pleasure cruise boat named ‘Emperor Atilla’, carrying 115 individuals, including children, caught fire near the coast of the Turkish city of Fethiye in the Mugla province.
This was reported by the Turkish publication TRT Haber.
The blaze ignited in the vicinity of Katranci Bay while the boat was on a one-day tourist trip. The cause of the ignition has not yet been determined, but the flames rapidly engulfed the vessel.
Passengers, among whom were women and children, had to don life vests and jump into the sea to escape the inferno.
Upon receiving the alert, units from the coast guard, maritime police, and the Directorate General of Coastal Safety were dispatched to the scene. Rescuers successfully evacuated all 115 individuals, including the crew members.
Some passengers were transported to the coast guard docks in the Gocek and Karagozler districts. Two individuals suffered from smoke inhalation and were taken to the hospital.
The children on board underwent medical checks as a precautionary measure.
The fire was extinguished, but the vessel sustained significant damage and is no longer seaworthy. Plans are underway to tow it ashore.
An investigation is ongoing to determine the causes of the ignition.
