Within the period from August 17th to August 23rd, DTEK energy workers managed to fully or partially restore electricity supply to close to 1 million households across Kyiv, Kyiv Oblast, Donetsk, Dnipropetrovsk, and Odesa regions. These areas had lost power due to Russian shelling.
This information was conveyed in a statement by DTEK.
Over the course of the week, energy specialists succeeded in bringing electricity back to residents of nearly 600 settlements. The most extensive restoration efforts took place in the Donetsk region, where power was restored to approximately 400,000 families. This region continues to be an active combat zone, and its energy infrastructure sustains damage on a regular basis.
Additionally, following shelling, electricity supply was reinstated for 311.3 thousand households in the Odesa region, over 90,000 in Kyiv, 87.7 thousand in Dnipropetrovsk, and nearly 27,000 in Kyiv Oblast.
Energy workers commence repairs on damaged networks immediately upon receiving authorization from the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the State Emergency Service of Ukraine.
