The Presidential Palace awaits a report from the government regarding the Russian missile that fell near Lublin.

Polish President Karol Nawrocki will not convene the National Security Council following the incident with the Russian Kh-101 cruise missile, which fell on the country’s territory on July 30.
This was stated by the press secretary of the President of Poland, Rafał Leszkiewicz, as reported by Polsat News.
According to him, the most important thing for the president now is to determine how the missile crossed the border. Nawrocki expects a detailed report from the government on the incident, as well as the actions taken after the violation of Polish airspace, in order to assess the performance of the responsible services.
“Not every instance of an unidentified object crossing Polish airspace – in this case, a Russian missile – requires convening the National Security Council,” Leszkiewicz stated.
The spokesperson for Nawrocki emphasized that Prime Minister Donald Tusk and Minister of National Defence Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz are responsible for the security of Polish airspace.
“The President, above all, expects credible, detailed, very precise, and clear reports on what happened yesterday,” he noted.
Furthermore, Leszkiewicz stressed that the Presidential Palace wants an answer to the question of what changes were implemented after the September 2025 incident, when Russian drones violated Polish airspace. After all, Nawrocki convened the National Security Council at that time and expected recommendations for strengthening the air defence system.
The spokesperson reported that the president has spoken with the Minister of National Defence and the Prime Minister, and is also in contact with the Chief of the General Staff.
Rafał Leszkiewicz emphasized that the head of state calmly awaits reports and analyses that will allow for an assessment of the incident and drawing conclusions for the future.
As reported, after the Russian missile entered Poland and fell, Prime Minister Donald Tusk convened a coordination group with the participation of the Minister of Defence and relevant services, and also went to the scene. Later, he confirmed that the Polish airspace had been violated by a Russian Kh-101 cruise missile.
The Lublin prosecutor’s office announced that they have managed to establish the origin of the Kh-101 missile, which was manufactured in the second quarter of this year. The examination and cataloging of the recovered fragments are currently underway. A specialist from Ukraine is also participating in these activities.
