A video of a tense conversation between Zelensky and Netanyahu in the USA has surfaced online – what really happened between them, and did the leaders truly argue.

At the funeral of Senator Lindsey Graham, President Volodymyr Zelensky and Prime Minister of Israel Benjamin Netanyahu, “apparently exchanged sharp remarks.”

The publication recalled that this week Washington was visited simultaneously by the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky and the Prime Minister of Israel Benjamin Netanyahu.
“Simultaneous requests for support from Washington from Netanyahu and Zelensky, who visited the White House this week, put two US allies in a ‘zero-sum game’ situation for military resources,” WP notes.
Journalists from the publication suggested that at Graham’s funeral, Zelensky and Netanyahu, “apparently exchanged sharp remarks.”
The publication emphasizes that both sides officially refused to comment on this conversation.
It should be noted that The Washington Post refers to a video published by Israeli journalist Noga Tarnopolsky.
“Netanyahu and Zelensky apparently had a tense conversation during the funeral of Lindsey Graham. Haaretz reports that Ukrainian sources claim Israel rejected a proposal for a meeting between the two leaders in Washington. Netanyahu has consistently shown disrespect towards Zelensky,” wrote the Israeli journalist and published a video of this conversation.

The words of both leaders are not audible, but judging by their expressions, they were debating something. However, it is worth noting that, despite the tense tone, Zelensky and Netanyahu ended the conversation amicably, smiling at each other and shaking hands.
We remind you that the Israeli publication Haaretz wrote that Netanyahu refused a full-fledged bilateral meeting with Zelensky in Washington, although Israel offered it first.
According to the publication, the Israeli side first proposed holding a meeting, but later refused. Another source for the journalists notes that the initiative for the meeting came from Kyiv, but Israel never provided a response.
Despite the canceled meeting, the leaders still crossed paths in person at the memorial service for Senator Lindsey Graham at a Washington cathedral. As The Times of Israel notes, this was the first personal conversation between Netanyahu and Zelensky in three years.
“The conversation appeared quite serious but sincere, and Netanyahu and Zelensky were smiling during the handshake,” notes The Times of Israel.
