According to Sean, any discussions of cosmetic surgery were utterly unacceptable to his mother. She rejected the notion of altering her appearance, believing that every feature on her face was an integral part of her personal narrative.
A particularly telling incident, recounted by Sean from photographer John Isaac’s words, highlights this sentiment. During one of her UNICEF humanitarian missions, Isaac was photographing the actress and later offered to retouch the lines on her face. Audrey’s response became a true manifesto for natural beauty:
“Don’t you dare touch any of these wrinkles. I’ve earned every one of them.”
