Ukrzaliznytsia adapts its schedule to seasonal passenger demands and launches an updated summer timetable starting June 28, with ticket sales commencing today. This was announced by the company on Facebook, as reported by Ukrinform. “The updated schedule takes effect from June 28, and ticket sales begin today. What’s new? In total, railway workers have added 12 new routes, significantly sped up 3 trains, extended 4 routes to the mountains, and transformed 8 trains that ran every other day into daily services,” the statement reads. Specifically, the route of the flagship train No. 1/2 “Yednist” (Unity) from Kharkiv to Vorokhta will be extended to Rakhiv starting June 29. This is the longest route for a flagship train in Ukraine, spanning 1325 km, and it includes a women’s carriage and a new children’s carriage. Additionally, train No. 55/56 from Kyiv to Rakhiv will become a daily service. The routes of trains No. 137/138 from Kyiv to Ivano-Frankivsk and No. 142/141 from Chernihiv to Ivano-Frankivsk will be extended to Yasinia station. Furthermore, the “Sakura” train connecting Kyiv and Uzhhorod has had its travel time reduced. It will now depart from the capital at 11:28 PM instead of 5:41 PM and will arrive in the reverse direction at 6:09 AM, reaching Khmelnytskyi before midnight. Train No. 113/114 from Kharkiv to Uzhhorod will operate every other day instead of running on specific dates. Train No. 45/46 from Kharkiv to Uzhhorod will change its route through Podillia, allowing residents of Vinnytsia, Khmelnytskyi, and Ternopil to reach Zakarpattia at a convenient time. Among the new routes appearing in the schedule are the night express No. 83/84 from Dnipro to Mukachevo, the daytime train No. 153/154 from Dnipro to Odesa (operating on specific dates), No. 157/158 from Kyiv to Ivano-Frankivsk, No. 210/209 from Mykolaiv to Ivano-Frankivsk (every other day), and No. 229/230 from Kharkiv to Kremenchuk (starting June 29).
